iBikeChallenge GPS coordintate gaps.

My usual ride is about 8.9 miles each way. The app logged 7.
When I looked at the log there were clearly GPS coordinate gaps (drop outs) toward the end of my ride. I was on the bay trail in Richmond with a clear view of the sky and it functioned perfectly to and from work yesterday.

My battery was about 20% when I finished the ride, could the alert at this interval screw up the app??
