20th Anniversary of Bike to Work Day

This PSA for San Francisco Bay Area’s 20th Anniversary of Bike to Work Day’s video is produced by award-winning Beyond Pix. San Francisco Bay Area's annual Bike to Work Day involves all nine Bay Area counties and is part of National Bike Month in May. Bike to Work Day couldn’t happen without the generous support of our sponsors. The 20th Anniversary of Bike to Work Day would not be possible without our presenters,, MTC and Kaiser Permanente. Additional support comes from Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Typekit, BART, Clear Channel Outdoor, Beyond Pix Studios, Adobe, the Canary Challenge, RevolightsREI and Clif Bar. This event is made possible through the cooperation of volunteers, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, congestion management agencies, local bicycle coalitions and the Bay Area Bicycle Coalition.

Thanks to Producer: Danielle Cheifetz, Director: Taylor Carlso, and Editor: Jenn Rubin at Beyond Pix.

Grand Prize

Public V1

The new diamond frame PUBLIC V1 is everything that a great city bike should be - fun, simple, lightweight, stylish and affordable. This single-speed bike is our most affordable PUBLIC bike.
Built using the same proven upright comfort geometry as our multispeed PUBLIC V7, the PUBLIC V1 foregoes multiple gears in favor of a simple and efficient single-speed drivetrain.
Ideally suited for trips around town, casual riding with friends and weekend jaunts through the park, the PUBLIC V1 is a capable machine ready to go as far as you desire to pedal.
Intended for a flat or moderately hilly terrain, we have carefully selected the ideal gearing for rolling hills as well as flatter routes.
Unlike many other single-speed bikes, our single-speed PUBLIC bike allows you to coast and relax while riding, while also using powerful dual pivot brakes and alloy rims to ensure great stopping power rain or shine.
Like all PUBLIC bikes, the PUBLIC V1 is built with a high quality steel frame and comes complete with matching fenders, chain guard, and painted rims. Front and rear rack mounts are also standard, ensuring you will always be able to carry your much-needed items if you add an optional rear rack. We challenge you to find a better single-speed city bike with all these features at this price.
The PUBLIC V1 is simple and easy to use, perfect for beginners and offers inexpensive reliable transportation. The PUBLIC V1 will get you to the coffee shop with money left over for lattes.
